The Fossil Fuel Data Assimilation System (FFDAS) quantifies all fossil fuel CO2 emissions for the globe at high space- and time-resolution using an assimilation technique incorporating remote-sensing and bottom-up information. It was created by Dr. Peter Rayner at the University of Melbourne and Dr. Kevin Robert Gurney at Northern Arizona University.
